Our Story
Founded in 2017 by veteran Tim Doherty, our mission is to help veterans heal through the vocation of beekeeping.
We provide an opportunity for veterans to learn beekeeping skills, engage in hands-on hive management, and develop camaraderie within a supportive community. By fostering a connection between veterans and bees, we aim to create an environment where they can find solace, purpose, and a renewed sense of belonging.
At Doc's Healing Hives, we are committed to making a lasting impact and honoring the service of our veterans by helping them thrive in their civilian lives.

World-renowned artist Matt Willey will bring his celebrated 'The Good of the Hive' project to Doc's Healing Hives, creating a mural in our training center; a permanent symbol of hope and healing for our veterans.
